Long time collaborators Diana Manson and Megan Laughton founded Baby Octopus to produce quality children’s entertainment of all genres.
Current book-based properties include Attack of the Shark-Headed Zombie, by Bill Doyle being developed for 6 – 9 yr olds, under the working title of Magic for Hire. And, global best selling author Neil Gaiman’s preschool picture book series, Chu, the adorable sneezing panda (illustrated by Adam Rex), is also underway.
In addition to a growing slate of publishing titles, Baby Octopus is developing original IP and will be making announcements on these projects soon. The team has also been busy working with Sesame Street and Sesame Studios on musical live-action and classic educational shorts.
Baby Octopus was selected by the Committee for Children, a global provider of research-based educational programs to create Mind Yeti, a mindfulness brand for children. Based on the positive reaction in schools across the country, more content is in the pipeline.
Diana and Megan’s previous work includes: Max & Ruby airing continuously on Nick Jr. since 2003 (and with new episodes in production), Peter Rabbit, Olivia, The Mr. Men Show, Noddy and Gaspard and Lisa.
